چکیده

In this paper, we consider the robust stability analysis and synthesis problems for closed-loop vibrational control. In the analysis problem, we derive an upper bound on the allowable unstructured uncertainty which preserves the stability of a closed-loop vibrationally stabilized system. In the synthesis problem, we establish a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a single vibrational controller that stabilizes a polytope of plants. ( 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

An efficient method to control the amplitude of the limit cycle in satellite attitude control system

In this paper, an efficient method is presented to control the attitude of a satellite with ON-OFF actuator. The main objective of this novel method is to control the amplitude of the limit cycle which commonly appears in the steady state of such systems; and at the same time by consideration of real actuator constraints, reduce the fuel consumption of system. The Proposed method is a combinati...

PDEs with Distributed Control and Delay in the Loop: Transfer Function Poles, Exponential Modes and Robustness of Stability

In this paper we consider a large class of partial diierential equations (PDEs) with distributed control and with a time-delay in the feedback loop. We analyze the relationship between the poles of the closed-loop transfer function and the exponential modes of the underlying retarded PDE in order to derive internal stability properties from external ones. Our approach is based on a combination ...

Definition of General Operator Space and The s-gap Metric for Measuring Robust Stability of Control Systems with Nonlinear Dynamics

In the recent decades, metrics have been introduced as mathematical tools to determine the robust stability of the closed loop control systems. However, the metrics drawback is their limited applications in the closed loop control systems with nonlinear dynamics. As a solution in the literature, applying the metric theories to the linearized models is suggested. In this paper, we show that usin...

Peaking Attenuation in High-Gain Observers Using Adaptive Saturation: Application to a Ball and Wheel System

Despite providing robustness, high-gain observers impose a peaking phenomenon, which may cause instability, on the system states. In this paper, an adaptive saturation is proposed to attenuate the undesirable mentioned phenomenon in high-gain observers. A real-valued and differentiable sigmoid function is considered as the saturating element whose parameters (height and slope) are adaptively tu...
